Summer planned an excellent vacation experience for our family! We booked this trip nearly a year in advance, and she worked with us the whole time. The Pre-Trip Conference was priceless. She went over our trip day by day and answered all our questions. This was the most helpful, as we were able to refer back to the materials during our trip. She went above and beyond, even answering our call for help at 2:30 in the morning when an excursion guide was at the wrong port. Sure fixed everything and we were on our way within a few minutes. THIS is why everyone should use a travel advisor. She is the best!

We loved every experience we had! The second entrance day for Machu Picchu originally we thought would be too exhausting, but after we did it, it was the experience of a lifetime. We were the first ones in the ruins!
We had a few uh-ohs in terms of the itinerary being off by some time. The Lima transport day to Cusco Airport said 8:10am on our itinerary, but the tour guide came at 6:55am and woke us up in a hurry! The only other issues with the itinerary were the Cusco City tour we had 9am, but the guide said she was scheduled for 1pm so we did that. It ended up being better and the final leaving time to our airport we had 12:55, but the Condor Travel people said 1:25. Just some inconsistencies with a few days, but nothing too worrying! Hi Summer! Thank you for helping plan and organize a wonderful trip to Costa Rica for my family! It was the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation, all while touring two beautiful regions of Costa Rica! My husband and I just returned from Cancun for our 10th anniversary and we had a great time. This was our third trip that Summer put together for us and it’s easy to enjoy our vacations knowing that everything has been taken care of and all we have to do is just relax and have fun!! We had a fabulous trip and I will do my best to write a review and post some pictures this weekend.
The only issue we had was with the El Tovar hotel -- I would strongly recommend you don't put people in there. The building is iconic but the rooms are tiny, hot, the air conditioner sounds like a plane and doesn't cool. No elevators. We were pretty miserable there. Also you have to get dinner and lunch reservations for their restaurant in advance, at least on a weekend, so food was an issue. I did complain and they refunded a little.
All the other hotels were perfect :-).
We enjoyed our excursions -- Pink Jeep, Horse Ride, DInner Cruise (I loved Lake Powell) We probably could have visited Antelope Park while there, but we were parked out. We did visit HorseShoe Bend.
Also our car was perfect -- roomy and comfy.

Summer, Just a note to thank you for helping us plan our Italy trip - we had a wonderful time! All the materials and goodies you sent prior to the trip were so helpful and useful. Our luggage didn't make the tight connection we had in Munich coming home. When I filed the claim with United at DIA the agent asked for a description and I told her they have "bright green tags" - she said, that is SO helpful. Our luggage was sent the next day and delivered to our house.
The bike/food tour in Lucca was really fun and educational, there were only five of us which was an added plus. I highly recommend the market tour and cooking class at Mama Florence. It was pricey but well worth it. The meal we helped prepare was one of the best of the trip, and they shared all the recipes!
We also loved Cinque Terre - it was stunning. The pesto class at Nessun Dorma was so fun and taught by the owner of the restaurant. We made it to 4 of the 5 villages and each one was beautiful. Our time with Leanne in Vicenza was slower paced which was great after traveling for the previous week. It's a special place and I'm keeping my fingers crossed your family makes it back there.

Summer Bowers was simply AMAZING! I had never used a travel agent and now I'm not sure how I ever traveled without one. It was a seamless process from start to finish. My mom and I started with very general ideas of what we wanted our European vacation to look like but didn't even have final destinations picked. Summer turned all of that into a two-week, well-executed, wonderful adventure.
I think the great thing about Summer is she's willing to take your lead. In our case, we wanted and needed a lot of input and recommendations, which she gave. She was willing to go through multiple iterations of the itinerary, including us changing our minds or wanting to see a few different options. She was also very mindful of our budget, which I appreciated. Then on the trip it was nice to have her check in and make sure all was going smoothly.
Summer was extremely responsive! After we sent an email, she would respond almost immediately or at least let us know when she could look into it (which was always within the next day). I can't tell you how good it felt to have her on top of everything and monitoring our flights/excursions/etc. We got an email from her a few weeks before the trip that one of our flights had been cancelled but she'd already rebooked us on another flight with an even better arrival time. I never even had to worry! Then on the trip she would respond almost immediately and troubleshoot if we needed. When we got home, she helped us navigate a refund from the insurance company and welcomed us home with a sweet card.
We traveled with family friends for part of the trip who gave the biggest compliment that on their next trip they would be using Summer! I definitely will too! Summer Bowers was simply AMAZING! Erin and I don’t know where to begin thanking you! Our trip was wildly successful and one that we will cherish forever. And we give Summer Bowers and Cruise Planners/Tropics and Tropics all the credit. We were going in circles with our own attempts to put it all together. A wedding in France was the reason for the trip but everything else was negotiable. We were also working with a budget but didn’t have any idea how to make it all work. Summer calmly held our hands, gathered our ideas, provided suggestions and we quickly had a tentative itinerary and working budget. That was just what we needed! She emphasized that it was just a starting point and we could easily make changes. The whole process was fun, efficient, and resulted in the trip of a lifetime. Summer has the knowledge of traveling, attention to detail and experience to plan amazing trips - for seasoned travelers and novices alike. Thank you Tammy for putting together a wonderful long weekend in Jamaica. As usual the travel documentation that you provided stepped us through seamlessly from the airport arrival, to the resort, back to the airport for departure.
The Riu Montego Bay was perfect for a relaxing weekend in the beautiful Jamaican waters... and there was plenty of fun and entertainment to be had at the resort as well. We loved the all inclusive food and beverages... that made the entire trip so much nicer. Our only complaint was that we didn't plan to stay longer. Thank you Tammy for putting together a wonderful long weekend in Jamaica. Tammy Overcash did a fantastic job planing a five day trip to Washington, DC with my youngest grandson to celebrate his recent graduation from high school. What a fantastic time we had touring the monuments and museums. The highlight of our trip was a fantastic overall tour of DC on an air-conditioned bus that allowed us to go inside the Capitol Building and to spend time at the Martin Luther King Monument that neither of us had visited. What a delight to not have to arrange details of our excursions! Took and wonderful trip to Alaska this summer and could not have been happier with the 4 days in Vancouver, the 8 day cruise on Azamara, 4 day trip to Denali, and the help that Eric gave us in planning the 70th Birthday and 35 Wedding Anniversary trip of a lifetime. The whole trip went flawlessly from being picked up at the airport, the accommodations, the surprise bottle of champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, a Birthday banner in our room, every excursion, and every meal to the box of cookies when we got home. My daughter and I had a wonderful time visiting Hawaii! The hotel in Honolulu was very nice, Pearl Harbor Tour was inspiring, and transfers all were very smooth. We enjoyed the "Diamond Head Luau" on Oahu on the night before the cruise departure. It was small, food was great, and was walking distance from our hotel. The Norwegian cruise was a great way to see a little of each island. Can't wait to go back for more! We enjoyed several shore excursions through the cruise ship - Molokini Snorkel in Maui, Rainbows and Waterfalls in Hilo, Haleakala Crater tour, and Blue Hawaiian Helicopter Tour in Kauai. We also did several things on our own, including parasailing in Maui and Kona with UFO Parasail, and a Cessna plane tour with Big Island Air in Kona. I highly recommend all of these tours! I also would like to recommend the tour we took on the last day in Hawaii - a private tour with Oahu Circle Tours. Our guide picked us up at the Cruise terminal around 9 am, and showed us many beautiful sights all over Oahu (many that would never have been accessible by tour bus), and dropped us at the airport in advance of our evening flight - for not much more than the cost of the circle tour the ship offered. Overall, an excellent vacation! Thank you so much for your help in booking this trip and answering our questions. My daughter and I had a wonderful time visiting Hawaii!
